November is here, and you may have noticed a few guys around town with a little fuzz appearing over their upper lip. That’s right, Movember is back, with more handlebars and bristling biker moustaches than you can poke a razor at.
In case this is all new to you, Movember is a world-wide charity promotion designed to highlight the issues surrounding prostate health and mental health in men. Men spend the month growing a moustache and getting sponsorship, with funds donated to charities that help address men’s health issues. It raises millions of dollars each year, and has literally changed the face of men’s health. There’s also a fun side to it, as the evolving mo will no doubt spark conversations and generate some laughs over the 30 days of “Movember”, and all for a good cause.
And lads, don’t forget to put your money where your “mo” is. For more details on Movember, and how you can make a donation, check out their website.
Sadly for me, the good wife’s protests (which had fallen on deaf ears in the past) have reached a deafening roar, and I will be nothing more than a sad spectator this year.
How about you? Are you a fan of Movember? What style of moustache is your favourite? Is prostate health and mental health the most significant men’s health issues that need to be addressed?
